We will collect personal information directly from you and from other people that we deal with. We collect personal information for the purpose of performing our business activities.
When we collect your personal information from anyone other than you we will take reasonable steps to notify you unless it's information that you know or would expect that we have.
We sometimes may collect sensitive information. Sensitive information is only collected with your consent or where we are otherwise entitled to do so.

Use and disclosure
We will use the personal information we collect about you only in the performance of our business activities and when fulfilling our legal obligations.
The personal information we collect about you may be disclosed to third parties with your express or implied consent or where required or authorised by law.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date at collection, use and disclosure.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure the security of your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.
We will take reasonable steps to ensure personal information that is no longer needed for the purposes of performing our business activities or as our legal obligations require will be destroyed or permanently de-identified.

Access and Correction
We will provide access to personal information where such requests are made in writing and after your identity is verified. Requests for personal information will be responded to in a reasonable time frame.
Under certain circumstances we are permitted by the Privacy Act to deny or limit your request for access. A reason will be provided if denied.

We will not use identifiers issued by a government department (such as your tax file number) as a reference number to identify you.

Where both practicable and legally allowed, you may deal with us anonymously.

Q: Do I need my bank statements?
A: No. You will download your bank statement transactions using Credit Sense.
Q: How do you access my bank statement transactions?
A: We access your bank statement transactions through internet banking.
You will be required to enter the your surname or the application number your credit provider will give you, choose your bank, enter your internet banking user ID and password
and we will download the transaction history that your credit provider requires.
Q: How do I know that my internet banking will remain secure?
A: We do not keep your internet banking user ID or password.
Your user ID and password is encrypted when you enter it, passed to your bank once to gain access to your transaction history and then permanently deleted.
If you need to use us again, you will need to re-enter your user ID and password.
Q: How do I know my transaction history will remain secure?
A: Your transaction history is encrypted whilst with us and delivered to your credit provider using secure protocols.
Q: What else can I do to protect my bank accounts from third party access?
A: There is no need to worry, your user ID and password are encrypted as you enter them, once your transaction history has been obtained it is also encrypted
and your user ID and password are permanently deleted.
If you are still concerned, you could simply change your internet banking password after using our service.
Q: Can other credit providers get a copy of a past assessment?
A: No. Only the credit provider who orders the assessment can obtain a copy of the assessment.
Because we don't maintain any identifiable information about you we cannot independently identify your assessment to provide it to other credit providers.
This also ensures that your credit provider gets the most accurate and up to date information available.
Q: What other information do I need to provide to you?
A: None. We only need your surname or the application number your credit provider will give you, the name of your bank and your user ID and password to complete the assessment.
Q: Can I get a copy of the assessment?
A: If you would like a copy of the assessment you should approach your credit provider.
We cannot independantly identify individuals (you do not supply your full name or any other identifying information to us)
so we could not accurately identify which assessment is yours. Assessments are not provided to anyone other than the credit provider who has ordered it.
